Set the time, press Start, and you will hear a beep when it reaches zero.
How to use this online timer
- Pick a preset such as 5 min, or type hours, minutes and seconds.
- Press Start. The numbers switch to a large countdown.
- Use Pause to hold the time and Reset to go back to the start.
- When the time is up the timer turns red and beeps. Press Reset to dismiss it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I share a timer with a set time?
Yes. Add the time to the address, for example /timer/?t=15m for 15 minutes or ?t=1h30m for an hour and a half.
Does the timer stay accurate in a background tab?
Yes. It works out the remaining time from the clock rather than counting ticks, so it is correct when you return to the tab.
Can I turn the sound off?
Yes. Use the Sound button under the timer. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
